In this third issue of the ‘Articles from the Archives’ series, www.ReformTheKakistocracy.com presents five previously published articles on shrinking the federal government. With the excitement over the President-elect’s Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”), these articles are as current as the day they were written. Each Article addresses a different aspect of reforming government. The series aims to rescue from the archives novel discussions of topics that would otherwise be lost in the 402.74 million terabytes of data produced daily.
The first Article from the Achieves is a group of articles on how the two major parties suppress political third parties. The articles also discuss legal remedies to challenge the anticompetitive behavior of the two major parties.” It is one of my favorite topics. This second group of Articles from the Archives addresses climate change, a controversial topic generally argued about by people angrily slinging misinformation and disinformation at anyone with a different opinion.
This third group of Articles from the Archives focuses on this author’s favorite topic, restructuring (shrinking) the federal government and devolving its domestic powers to the states. The Biden administration ignored this issue as it inflated the federal government by giving away trillions of dollars of taxpayer’s money in a crass attempt to buy votes. With the possibility that DOGE will hunt down federal fraud, waste, and abuse and shrink the federal government, now is the time to resurrect these five articles. There are many other articles on government reform in its Archives.
The five articles chosen discuss how Congress can devolve federal domestic powers to the states, how the nation’s massive national debt will force the devolution of power, and provide a federal spending diet book to help Congress reduce the fat in its budgets. A fourth article outlines how to shrink the bureaucracy and advocates for those remaining bureaucrats to be term-limited. The Fifth Article advocates for returning to the 1913, 4-page Income Tax Form 1040 that eliminates almost all deductions and taxes every person the same in the tax bracket for their income. It will raise more money than the existing system, treat everyone equally, and substantially lower marginal tax rates. Moreover, the IRS will not need 80,000 new tax collectors.
